ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has scheduled hearings for the cancellation of bail granted to individuals accused in the May 9 incident, with proceedings set to begin next week.
The court will hear appeals against bail in the GHQ attack case on April 7, while bail cancellation appeals for 20 accused, including PTI leaders Alia Hamza and Khadija Shah, will be taken up on April 8.
Punjab Government’s Appeals Under Review
The hearings will primarily address the Punjab government’s petitions seeking to revoke bail for those accused in the GHQ attack case, with the first session scheduled for April 7. The following day, the Supreme Court will deliberate on bail revocations for 20 additional accused, including key PTI figures.
Key Bench Leading the Case
A three-member Supreme Court bench, headed by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, alongside Justices Shafi Siddiqui and Shakeel Ahmed, will oversee the proceedings.
These hearings mark a crucial legal development in the ongoing cases linked to the May 9 unrest, as authorities seek to revoke bail for multiple accused individuals.
