Indian cricket star Virat Kohli sustained an injury during a net session just a day before India’s Champions Trophy final clash against New Zealand, scheduled for Sunday.
During the practice session, Kohli was struck near his knee by a ball, causing him to momentarily halt training. The team’s physiotherapist promptly attended to him, applying a spray and wrapping the injured area with a bandage.
Although Kohli experienced some discomfort, team officials reassured that the injury was not serious. He continued to remain at the ICC Academy practice facility after the incident, indicating that his condition was not alarming.
The coaching staff remains optimistic about his participation in the final, though his condition will be closely monitored leading up to the highly anticipated match.
