Pakistan Navy Joins Multinational Exercise ‘Komodo-25’ in Indonesia

The Pakistan Navy showcased its commitment to global maritime cooperation and regional stability by participating in the 5th edition of the Multinational Naval Exercise KOMODO-25, organized by the Indonesian Navy in Bali, Indonesia.

With the theme “Maritime Partnership for Peace and Stability,” the exercise brought together naval forces from approximately 38 countries, aiming to strengthen maritime collaboration and enhance regional security, according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Pakistan Navy Ship PNS ASLAT, currently on an Overseas Deployment (OSD), took an active role in the exercise, highlighting Pakistan’s dedication to international maritime cooperation.

The event commenced with a grand Fleet Review, where PNS ASLAT, alongside warships, helicopters, and aircraft from other participating nations, displayed their naval capabilities and operational interoperability.

In addition to the exercise, PNS ASLAT made a port call in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where the ship’s Commanding Officer met with the Commander of the Western Naval Area and senior military officials. The discussions focused on matters of mutual interest, further strengthening the bilateral relationship. The Commanding Officer also conveyed goodwill messages from Pakistan’s Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, to the Sri Lankan Navy and its people.
