Sahir Hasan, son of acclaimed actor Sajid Hasan, is under arrest in connection with the Mustafa Amir kidnap and murder case. He revealed that students procure drugs through smartphone applications.
Sahir stated that college and university students frequently order narcotics via mobile apps, with deliveries made to specific locations. He denied allegations of directly supplying narcotics to educational institutions, asserting that students independently place their own orders online.
He explained that they establish friendships with students at colleges and universities, which sometimes leads to addiction. Initially, only a few students purchase narcotics, but the network gradually expands across campuses.
SSP Shoaib Memon disclosed that two major narcotics groups operate in Karachi — one smuggling drugs from California and the other dealing in Iranian narcotics. Police have intensified their crackdown, prioritizing the Iranian narcotics network.
Investigations indicate that the narcotics supply chain has been significantly disrupted following the arrests of key suspects, including Sahir Hasan, making drugs less accessible to users.
Sahir Hasan is currently on physical remand for his role in the Mustafa Amir murder case. His arrest was part of a broader police operation targeting the drug business in Karachi.
During interrogation, Sahir reportedly named influential businessmen, politicians, and other individuals linked to the narcotics trade. He admitted to transferring drug payments online through his father Sajid Hasan’s manager’s bank account.
The suspect, who has been modeling for five years, confessed to being addicted to weed for 13 years and selling it for the past two years. Police sources revealed that Sahir operated the entire drug business via Snapchat, sourcing narcotics from suppliers named Bazil and Yahya, and smuggling drugs worth millions through courier companies.
