ISLAMABAD: On the sixth anniversary of Operation Swift Retort, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and the Services Chiefs paid tribute to the courage, professionalism, and sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday, the military leadership reaffirmed their strong commitment to protecting the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, while also working to maintain regional stability.
Launched on February 27, 2019, Operation Swift Retort was Pakistan’s decisive response to India’s violation of its airspace, amid rising tensions between the two nuclear-armed nations. The swift military retaliation not only strengthened Pakistan’s defense capabilities but also reinforced its ability to deter any further aggression, according to the ISPR.
The military spokesperson emphasized that the operation showcased Pakistan’s Armed Forces’ operational readiness, ensuring effective deterrence and maintaining dominance during the engagement.
“Pakistan’s Armed Forces remain vigilant and fully prepared to face any threat to the nation, maintaining the trust and confidence of the people of Pakistan,” the statement stated.
The ISPR further highlighted that the Armed Forces, with unwavering resolve, will continue to defend the homeland while contributing to regional and global peace efforts aimed at fostering stability and harmony.
