ISLAMABAD: U.S. Acting Ambassador to Pakistan, Natalie Baker, held a meeting with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to discuss Pakistan-U.S. relations, shared interests, and boosting bilateral cooperation.
The discussions also touched on Minister Naqvi’s recent visit to the U.S., where he praised his productive meetings with U.S. Congress members, noting they helped reinforce ties between the two nations.
Minister Naqvi emphasized that terrorism is a global issue requiring collective international efforts and highlighted the longstanding partnership between Pakistan and the U.S. He expressed optimism about further expanding cooperation in various sectors under President Donald Trump’s leadership.
Naqvi also reiterated the importance of U.S. support in strengthening Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies and extended an invitation to Acting Ambassador Baker to attend Islamabadโs upcoming Jashn-e-Baharan festival.
