Trump Associate Suggests Richard Grenell Was Misled Into Supporting Imran Khan

Texas hedge fund manager and close Trump family associate Gentry Beach has suggested that former U.S. official Richard Grenell may have been misled into endorsing the release of Imran Khan’s campaign by certain lobbying efforts in the United States.

Currently in Islamabad leading a business delegation, Beach stated that Grenell now has a clearer understanding of the complexities surrounding Pakistan’s political landscape, which may explain why he has ceased tweeting in support of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Although Grenell previously posted multiple tweets backing Khan, he has since deleted most of them, leaving only two on his timeline.

During an interview, Beach praised Grenell, describing him as an exceptionally effective and intelligent individual. “Richard Grenell accomplishes more in a week than most do in a year. He is incredibly smart, humble, and one of the finest Americans I’ve ever met. I believe he may have been misled by certain individuals regarding these issues,” he remarked.

He further claimed that a lobbying group in the U.S. spends between $2 to 3 million per month on matters related to Imran Khan. While not positioning himself as an expert, Beach emphasized that Grenell now has a more accurate understanding of the situation than before.

Expressing doubt that Grenell would resume his earlier level of support, Beach stated, “I believe he prioritizes American interests in Pakistan. He is also focused on rectifying issues left behind by the Biden administration. President Trump values him greatly, considering him an invaluable asset.”

Beach, who maintains close business ties with Trump, is leading a high-level U.S. investment delegation on a two-day visit to Pakistan aimed at strengthening economic and bilateral relations. The delegation’s trip, seen as a key diplomatic and economic step, seeks to finalize investment agreements in energy, technology, and infrastructure.

During his recent remarks at Mar-a-Lago, Beach commended Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, acknowledging the loss of thousands of lives. He described Pakistan as an “incredible country” with significant investment potential and expressed optimism about fostering trade ties under the Trump administration.

Calling for deeper U.S.-Pakistan cooperation, Beach urged President Trump to enhance economic and strategic relations. “Both nations should work together as equal partners to drive mutual progress and strengthen their relationship,” he asserted.
