Winter Holidays Announced for Schools Amid Severe Cold Wave

As the cold wave intensifies across India, schools in various regions have announced winter holidays to prioritize student safety and well-being. Adjustments have been made to school schedules to accommodate the severe drop in temperatures.

Several northern states have declared temporary closures to shield students from harsh weather conditions. In some areas, authorities have revised school timings to address the chilly mornings and evenings.

In Delhi, schools have scheduled a winter break from January 1 to January 15, 2025, providing students with a chance to rest and rejuvenate. Additionally, all educational institutions in the capital will remain closed on December 25 to mark Christmas Day.

Officials have indicated that the duration of winter holidays might be extended in regions experiencing more severe weather. Notifications will be issued accordingly to keep parents and students informed about any changes in vacation schedules.

The northern states, facing the brunt of the cold wave, have introduced varied holiday lengths, emphasizing student welfare as a top priority. Schools have also communicated schedule updates to ensure transparency and preparedness among parents.

These winter holidays come as a much-needed break for students, offering them time to relax, enjoy the festive season, and gear up for the upcoming academic term. Parents and students are advised to stay updated with notifications from local authorities regarding school operations during this period.
