Siddiq-ul-Farooq, Senior PML-N Politician, Passes Away

Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader, journalist, and writer Siddiq-ul-Farooq has passed away in Islamabad after a prolonged battle with kidney disease. His death marks the end of a remarkable life dedicated to journalism, politics, and public service.

The funeral prayers for Siddiq-ul-Farooq will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the H-11 Cemetery in Islamabad. Political leaders, journalists, and colleagues are expected to gather to pay their final respects to a man who served his party and country with unwavering loyalty.

A Life of Service

Siddiq-ul-Farooq’s career spanned several decades, during which he made significant contributions to multiple fields. A seasoned journalist and the author of two books, he joined the PML-N in 1993 and remained steadfast in his loyalty to the party throughout his life.

He held various important positions, including serving as the press secretary to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. His tenure as chairman of the Abandoned Waqf Property Board and head of the House Building Finance Corporation reflected his dedication to public administration and service.

His literary contributions and journalistic work further enriched the political and intellectual landscape of Pakistan. Known for his articulate expression and insightful analysis, he was a voice of reason and commitment in turbulent times.

Leaders from across the political spectrum expressed their condolences and paid tribute to Siddiq-ul-Farooq’s legacy. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shared his grief, calling him “a sincere and astute politician” whose contributions to the PML-N would never be forgotten. The Prime Minister also extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.

PML-N parliamentary leader in the Senate, Irfan Siddiqui, praised Siddiq-ul-Farooq’s resilience and courage. “He bravely fought against dictatorship and stood by Nawaz Sharif even in the most challenging circumstances,” he said.

The passing of Siddiq-ul-Farooq is a profound loss to the PML-N, the journalistic community, and Pakistan. His dedication, steadfastness, and intellectual contributions leave behind a legacy that will inspire future generations.
