Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Federal Interior Minister and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to review preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. During the discussion, the PCB chairman provided updates on the progress and assured that Pakistan is fully prepared to host the prestigious tournament.
PM Shehbaz commended Naqvi for his steadfast stance on hosting the event in Pakistan, emphasizing the significance of his leadership. “Your commitment to the Champions Trophy reflects the collective voice of the Pakistani people,” the prime minister remarked, adding, “You have effectively represented the sentiments of 240 million Pakistanis on the global stage. For us, Pakistan’s honor remains paramount.”
Mohsin Naqvi reiterated the PCB’s determination to make the Champions Trophy a resounding success, ensuring that all necessary preparations are on track. “We are devoted to showcasing Pakistan’s potential as a world-class cricketing host,” he stated.
Expressing optimism about the upcoming tournament, Naqvi said, “InshaAllah, we will soon have positive updates regarding the Champions Trophy.”
