Junaid Jamshed Remembered Fondly on 8th Death Anniversary

Iconic singer-turned-televangelist Junaid Jamshed is being remembered on the eighth anniversary of his passing by thousands of fans on Saturday.

Jamshed, known for his iconic hits like “Aitebar,” “Naraz Ho,” “Tera Karam Maula,” and “Tumhara Aur Mera Naam,” left a lasting legacy both in the music industry and the spiritual community.

Born on September 3, 1964, in Karachi, Junaid began his musical career in his student days. He gained national fame in 1987 with the formation of Vital Signs, delivering the patriotic anthem “Dil Dil Pakistan,” which continues to be a beloved song across Pakistan.

At the height of his music career, Junaid underwent a profound personal transformation. In 2004, he left the music industry to dedicate his life to spreading Islamic teachings and reciting naats. His heartfelt performances, such as “Dil Badal De,” earned him widespread admiration in his new role as a spiritual guide.

Tragically, Junaid Jamshed passed away on December 7, 2016, in a plane crash near Havelian while returning from a preaching trip.

His son, Babar Junaid, frequently speaks about his father’s deep faith and commitment to inspiring others.

In recognition of his contributions, the Pakistani government honored Junaid with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2007.
