PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat expressed concerns on Monday about the narrative put forward by Maryam Riaz Wattoo, Bushra Bibi’s sister, and her spokesperson Mishal Yousafzai. Marwat stated that their views had caused unease within PTI’s leadership, particularly as certain members were reportedly linked to former agency operatives, contributing to divisions within the party.
Marwat emphasized that the language and accusations from Wattoo and Yousafzai were creating frustration and undermining the leadership, with constant complaints and allegations. He urged PTI founder Imran Khan to intervene to resolve the issue, stressing the importance of unity within the party.
Wattoo and Yousafzai recently claimed that Imran Khan trusts Bushra Bibi more than PTI’s “compromised” leaders. They alleged that many leaders failed to follow Khan’s directives, leading Bushra to take a more active role. Wattoo also accused some of Khan’s close associates of having questionable motives and revealed that Bushra faced pressure not to attend the Islamabad protest.
