Belarusian President to Arrive in Pakistan for Key Diplomatic Talks

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad today for a two-day official visit, concluding on November 27.

During his stay, President Lukashenko will hold comprehensive discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities in trade, industry, and technology.

The visit is expected to result in the signing of multiple agreements and memorandums of understanding, aimed at solidifying the growing partnership between the two nations.

President Lukashenko’s visit comes at the invitation of Prime Minister Sharif, who highlighted the significance of this diplomatic engagement to foster economic cooperation.

A high-level Belarusian ministerial delegation, led by Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzenko, has already arrived in Islamabad ahead of the president’s visit. The delegation, comprising key ministers from sectors such as energy, industry, and communications, was warmly received by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe) Shafqat Ali Khan, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belarus, Sajjad Haider Khan.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi welcomed the delegation, expressing Pakistan’s enthusiasm for collaborating with Belarus on various initiatives to strengthen mutual ties.
