Pakistani bodybuilder Rameez Ibrahim made his country proud by winning the gold medal at the prestigious Mr Universe 2024 competition, organized by the World Fitness Federation in Las Vegas, USA. Athletes from 44 countries, including Australia, Canada, South Africa, the UK, China, India, and Japan, participated in the global event, showcasing their physical strength and dedication to fitness.
In addition to winning the gold, Rameez earned a pro card in the Men’s Physique category, a remarkable achievement that highlights his dedication and hard work. After the victory, he took to Instagram to address those who doubted his potential to succeed on such a global stage. His win not only solidified his status as a top competitor but also brought recognition to Pakistan in the international bodybuilding community.
Earlier, Rameez had spoken about the challenges he faced in securing a spot in the world competition. In an interview with GeoSuper.tv, he revealed that he had to rely solely on his own efforts to get his name registered for the event. “I had no support in getting my entry,” Rameez shared, emphasizing the struggles he endured. Nevertheless, his perseverance paid off, and now he’s focused on preparing for future competitions. “Alhamdulillah, I finally made it, and I am working hard to win another title for Pakistan,” he said with determination.
In 2022, Rameez made history by becoming the first Pakistani to win three back-to-back world titles in Thailand, a feat that garnered international acclaim but little recognition back home. Despite this lack of acknowledgment, Rameez remains steadfast in his commitment to representing Pakistan. “It’s disappointing that I received no recognition in my own country, but I will continue to represent Pakistan with pride,” he affirmed, promising more victories ahead.
