Ali Amin Gandapur Lookalike Attends PTI Protest as KP CM Gets Late

PTI Protest

A lookalike of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur made an unexpected appearance at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest on Saturday in Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh.

The protest was organized by PTI to rally against the government’s proposed constitutional amendment, which focuses on judicial reforms and the extension of the Chief Justice of Pakistan’s tenure.

However, while the real Gandapur was delayed, his doppelgänger took center stage, engaging with party supporters and energizing the crowd.

PTI supporters had gathered at the iconic park in Rawalpindi, and tensions soon flared as they clashed with the police on Attock Road and Murree Road.

The clashes involved tear gas and rubber bullets as PTI supporters attempted to march towards the protest venue.

Despite the skirmishes, the presence of Gandapur’s lookalike added a unique twist to the day’s events, with many party workers and attendees doing double-takes at the striking resemblance.

The real momentum of the protest is expected to increase when the actual Gandapur arrives with his convoy from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He has promised to create a “Dama Dam Mast Qalandar atmosphere,” which is a popular slogan symbolizing high-energy and unrelenting spirit.

However, his convoy has been moving slowly, having only crossed into Punjab by the time of the protest. His delayed arrival led to his lookalike taking on an important role, rallying party supporters in his absence.

The lookalike not only shares an uncanny resemblance to the KP Chief Minister in terms of appearance but also mimics his voice, leaving many astonished.

In an interview with a journalist, he even echoed Gandapur’s rhetoric, declaring, “Maryam, we are coming!” His statement quickly went viral on social media, spreading like wildfire among PTI supporters and critics alike.

One social media user identified the lookalike as Zahid Khan Swati from Mansehra, a small town in KP. The viral video of his appearance drew a range of humorous and light-hearted responses.

One user, Sana, commented with a playful warning, “Let’s hope he doesn’t get caught by the authorities and doesn’t end up recording any audio or video.” The reference was likely a nod to past controversies involving Gandapur.

Another user, going by the name Maverick, humorously remarked, “Hahaha, keep this guy safe! He’ll be useful for tricking the police and authorities.”

This sentiment was echoed by another commenter, Mubarak Ali Raza, who suggested a strategic plan for the lookalike, saying: “To deceive the police, he should be sent via a different route on a container so that the real Gandapur can have a clear path.”

The lookalike’s presence not only amused party workers but also provided comic relief amid the tense atmosphere of the protest.

As the day went on, PTI supporters eagerly awaited the arrival of the real Gandapur, who has been a prominent figure in the party’s political activities.

His delayed arrival did little to dampen the spirits of the crowd, as his double kept the energy high until he could take his place.
