The Asian Hockey Champions Trophy, established in 2011, is a prestigious tournament featuring top hockey teams from across Asia. This year’s competition has highlighted the growing competitiveness of Asian hockey, with leading teams showcasing their skills for regional supremacy.

Pakistan has won the championship three times, while India is the defending champion after their 4-3 victory over Malaysia in the 2023 final. Pakistan, led by Captain Ammad Butt, entered this tournament with a strong resolve after finishing fourth in the FIH Men’s Nations Cup. Under the new leadership of Head Coach Tahir Zaman, the team was eager to start on a positive note.
