In response to the escalating gang conflict in Lahore, local authorities are implementing stringent measures targeting the notorious Teefi Butt and Tipu Truckanwala gangs. The Lahore Police have decided to confine key members and their families to their homes, with a formal request to be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore for their detention.
Police officials have highlighted that the ongoing feud between the Teefi Butt and Tipu gangs has endangered innocent civilians due to frequent shootings and violent clashes. To combat this increasing threat, active members of both gangs have been identified and detained as part of a major crackdown.
DIG Imran Kishor, who heads the Organized Crime Unit, will be drafting a letter to the DC Lahore, recommending the home confinement of individuals linked to both gangs. This preventive measure is intended to mitigate the violence and protect the safety of residents in the affected areas.
The decision comes as a direct response to the heightened risk posed by the gang violence, which has disrupted daily life and raised concerns among the community. By confining the gang members, authorities aim to reduce the conflict and restore order in the regions most impacted by these criminal activities. This initiative reflects a decisive effort to address the public safety crisis and bring stability to Lahore’s troubled neighborhoods.
