The Silence of Mahring Baloch: Where Are the Voices Against Terrorism in Balochistan?

Terrorism

Last night, Balochistan witnessed a horrifying bloodbath orchestrated by terrorist organizations. Baloch terrorists blocked various highways across the province, forcibly removing innocent citizens from buses and brutally martyring them.

Reports indicate that all the victims were Punjabis, raising the painful question: Are these Punjabis not Muslims and humans? Once, the politics of Balochistan centered around addressing the province’s poverty and sense of deprivation; now, that politics has morphed into a terrifying campaign of terrorism.

The politicians who once exploited these social issues for their own gain now sit silently, mere spectators to the heinous acts of terror unfolding in the province.

Governor of Balochistan, Jafar Khan Mandukhel, expressed deep sorrow and grief over the tragic killing of bus passengers in the Musakhel area.

He called upon all law enforcement agencies to swiftly apprehend and prosecute those responsible for this grievous act of terrorism.

In a gesture of solidarity, Governor Mandukhel extended his condolences to the bereaved families, praying for their patience and strength during this difficult time and seeking divine forgiveness for the martyrs.

Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, also condemned the terrorist attacks in the strongest terms. He demanded a comprehensive report from the relevant authorities and ordered an immediate investigation.

“I want to extend my heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the families of those who lost their lives due to this cowardly act of terrorism,” he stated.

He emphasized that the government of Balochistan would relentlessly pursue justice for the victims, ensuring that those responsible for these acts of terror, as well as their facilitators, are brought to justice.

In light of these tragic events, Chief Minister Bugti convened an urgent meeting to discuss the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan.

The state not only condemned the incident but also highlighted that these acts of terrorism are part of a larger conspiracy to destabilize the region. The CPEC development projects, vital to Balochistan’s growth, are being targeted by enemies of peace who seek to undermine the province’s stability.

The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), driven by an agenda to revert Balochistan to its pre-development era, is attacking roads and highways, aiming to destroy the very infrastructure that supports the province’s progress.

The atrocities committed by the BLA, supported by the Baloch Youth Council (BYC), raise serious questions about their so-called advocacy for Baloch rights. How can they claim to fight for the rights of Baloch people when they are the very ones killing innocent Baloch citizens, looting their resources, and destroying their livelihoods?

The silence of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) and BYC, who often decry alleged Baloch genocide, is deafening in the wake of last night’s massacre.

Our prominent journalists, who are quick to blame the state for disappearances, have also remained conspicuously silent, failing to condemn these terrorist acts. This silence suggests a disturbing alignment with Pakistan’s enemies rather than with the nation itself.

In Musakhel and Loralai, 23 innocent passengers were brutally murdered. Now, the onus is on the BYC, BNM, and international human rights organizations to answer a critical question: Who killed these innocent people?

Is this not a blatant violation of human rights? The BYC, while shielding the BLA and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF)—both of which perpetrate genocide and severe human rights violations in Balochistan—continues to mislead by using women and children as human shields.

Trained terrorists, motivated by financial incentives from their Indian handlers, are killing women and children, creating an atmosphere of fear and terror. The BYC and its affiliates, such as Mehring Baloch of the BLA, who is hailed as a human rights activist and defender, remain criminally silent on these atrocities.

Mehring Baloch, who refers to BLA leaders as her brothers, has failed to condemn this despicable act of terrorism, further exposing the hypocrisy and true intentions of those who claim to fight for Baloch rights.
