Special investigation team formed to investigate Karsaz accident involving woman SUV driver

A special investigation team has been assembled to look into the Karsaz accident involving a female SUV driver. Natasha Danish, the driver of the Toyota Land Cruiser, has been charged and detained for her reckless driving, which resulted in the deaths of Imran Arif, 60, and his daughter Amna Arif on August 19.

On Friday, East-Zone Deputy Inspector General of Police, Captain Ghulam Azfar Mahesar, visited the victims’ home in Gulzar-i-Hijri, Scheme-33. He offered his condolences, assured the family of comprehensive legal support, and discussed the case with them. DIG Mahesar pledged that the investigation would be conducted impartially and reported that the family appeared satisfied with the progress.

A special investigation team led by SSP-Investigation Aleena Rajpar has been established. All relevant CCTV footage has been collected and is under review. The blood test results for the female driver are expected within 24 hours, and based on these results, additional charges may be added to the FIR, which will determine the next steps in the investigation.

DIG Mahesar also noted that the driver’s family has yet to provide any medical records or history to the investigation team. He has called on others who were injured or suffered property damage in the incident to come forward and give their statements to the police. He reassured that the investigation is ongoing and justice will be served for the deceased father and daughter.
