Lahore Police Reveal 62% of Sexual Exploitation and Kidnapping Cases Were False

In a startling update, Lahore police have revealed that 62% of the cases involving sexual exploitation, kidnapping, and rape of women and children have been found to be false. Following thorough investigations, these charges were deemed baseless and subsequently dismissed.

As of August 7 this year, police records show that 4,990 cases related to crimes against women and children were filed. However, after detailed scrutiny, 3,099 of these cases were discovered to be unfounded and were dismissed.

The data further indicates that 6,118 individuals were named as suspects in these cases. The largest number of false reports was related to the abduction of women, with 2,221 complaints proving to be fabricated. In addition, 223 false claims of sexual assault were also dismissed following investigation.

Police officials have noted that many of these false allegations stemmed from personal grudges or attempts at blackmail, adding further complexity to the sensitive issue of crimes against women and children.
