41 Injured Palestinians Airlifted to Malaysia for Medical Treatment

SELANGOR: On Friday, Malaysia airlifted 41 Palestinian civilians, ranging in age from eight months to 62 years, who sustained various injuries during the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

The injured individuals were transported from Cairo, Egypt, to Malaysia using two Malaysian Air Force transport planes.

Malaysian Defence Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin, who welcomed the patients upon their arrival, emphasized that the mission was undertaken purely for humanitarian reasons.

He stated, “We carried out this mission out of compassion and to demonstrate our solidarity with the people of Palestine. This effort also reflects our nation’s stance against the ongoing inhumane violence.”

The Minister also noted that the injured Palestinians were carefully selected based on a thorough evaluation to ensure they could endure the 19-hour flight, which included a stopover in Karachi. The goal was to provide these individuals with much-needed medical treatment and support in Malaysia.

The airlift operation underscores Malaysia’s commitment to addressing humanitarian crises and supporting those affected by conflict. The arrival of these patients highlights the country’s dedication to providing aid and solidarity in the face of global challenges.
