Arshad Nadeem reveals he turned down offers to relocate abroad following Tokyo Olympics

Arshad Nadeem’s gold medal victory at the Paris Olympics 2024 has become a central highlight as Pakistan celebrates its 77th Independence Day with great enthusiasm.

In a recent interview on’ Capital Talk, Nadeem described his journey to the Paris Olympics as challenging and shared that he received offers from various countries to relocate after the Tokyo Olympics.

Despite these opportunities, he chose to remain in Pakistan, expressing his deep affection for his homeland. “I love the soil of Pakistan and will only train here,” he stated.

During the interview, Nadeem also discussed his friendship with Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, a relationship that has garnered significant attention.

Nadeem revealed that their friendship began in 2016 at the South Asian Games, his first international event. Over the years, they have crossed paths in multiple events, fostering a strong bond. The camaraderie between Nadeem and Chopra has been warmly received by both Pakistani and Indian fans, who admire the spirit of friendship and sportsmanship between the two athletes.

In addition to discussing his athletic achievements, Nadeem also addressed recent issues in Pakistani cricket. He expressed his support for the national cricket team, despite recent criticisms of their performance.

“They are also our heroes, and I pray for them to work hard and achieve success for Pakistan just as I have,” Nadeem said on Capital Talk.

As Pakistan basks in the glory of Nadeem’s Olympic success, his commitment to his country and his supportive remarks about other national heroes continue to inspire and unite people across the nation.
