ISLAMABAD: A disturbing incident involving the alleged rape of a Belgian girl has surfaced in the G-6 sector in the federal capital.
The victim, a 28-year-old Belgian national, was discovered with hands and feet tied in Islamabad’s Sector G-6. Islamabad police have arrested a suspect and recorded his initial statement.
Initial reports indicate that the woman claimed she was subjected to sexual assault for five days.
Authorities have confirmed that the crime occurred within the jurisdiction of the Aabpara Police Station.
The victim was taken to Polyclinic Hospital for a medical examination.
Police have apprehended a suspect, Tameezuddin, who was identified based on the woman’s statement. Tameezuddin, a resident of Sector G-6, has asserted that the woman was mentally upset.
However, police noted that the woman was found without any identification or travel documents.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage, underscoring the urgent need for stronger measures to protect women and ensure their safety in the capital. The investigation is ongoing.
