Gold Prices in Pakistan Surge for Second Consecutive Day

Pakistan

On Saturday, the prices of gold in Pakistan continued their upward trajectory for the second consecutive day, marking a notable shift in the local market.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs1,000, bringing the new rate to Rs252,500.

This rise reflects a significant escalation in the value of this precious metal within a short period.

In addition to the increase in the price per tola, the cost of gold in smaller quantities also saw a notable surge.

The price for 10 grammes of 24-karat gold jumped by Rs857, reaching Rs216,478.

Similarly, 10 grammes of 22-karat gold experienced an increase and is now priced at Rs198,438.

These increases highlight a broader trend of rising gold prices that is impacting various segments of the market.

The upward trend in gold prices is not limited to the local market alone.

On the international front, gold prices have also risen, with the rate per ounce climbing to $2,386.

This marks an increase of $13 during the day, reflecting a global trend that is influencing local pricing.

Despite the rise in gold prices, the rate of silver has remained stable.

The price of 24-karat silver continues to hold steady at Rs2,860 per tola, indicating that the fluctuations in precious metal prices are currently affecting gold more significantly than silver.

The continued increase in gold prices underscores a period of volatility in the precious metals market, both locally and internationally.

Investors and consumers alike are closely monitoring these developments, as fluctuations in gold prices can have substantial effects on various sectors, including jewelry and investment.
