The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified its crackdown on drug trafficking, resulting in the seizure of more than eight and a half kilograms of narcotics across multiple operations.
During a series of synchronized operations, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) teams executed raids that led to the apprehension of four individuals involved in organized drug smuggling activities. Specifically, during one of the interceptions, ANF personnel seized 55 capsules containing methamphetamine (“ice”) from a passenger who was attempting to transport the illicit substance from Islamabad to Qatar. Furthermore, substantial amounts of other illegal drugs were confiscated from additional suspects as part of these operations.
From a passenger departing Lahore for Saudi Arabia, ANF recovered 2.6 kilograms of methamphetamine and 235 grams of heroin concealed in their possession. In Kasur, ANF apprehended two suspects in possession of three kilograms of heroin. Furthermore, a parcel originating from Lahore and destined for Peshawar was found to contain two kilograms of heroin and one kilogram of methamphetamine.
The operations underscore ANF’s commitment to combating the drug trade, which continues to pose a significant threat to public health and safety. The seized drugs, valued at substantial amounts in the illicit market, reflect ANF’s efforts to disrupt trafficking networks operating within Pakistan and internationally.
