Security forces arrested 435 undocumented Afghan nationals during operations conducted across western Balochistan last month, according to officials.
The operations targeted undocumented Afghan nationals in several areas, including Turbat, Dasht, Panjgur, Dalbandin and Mashakeel. Authorities carried out the actions as part of measures to identify and repatriate foreigners staying in Pakistan without legal status.
Following the necessary legal and administrative procedures, authorities repatriated all 435 Afghan nationals to Afghanistan.
Security agencies have continued enforcement efforts against undocumented foreign nationals in different parts of the country. Officials say these measures follow government policies regarding the legal status and repatriation of undocumented Afghans.
The latest operations in Balochistan come as authorities intensify efforts to address the presence of undocumented Afghan nationals, particularly in areas close to the western border.
Meanwhile, Lahore police have also stepped up action against Afghan nationals living in the city without valid documentation. Police records show that 2,129 undocumented Afghan nationals have been arrested in Lahore this year.
Of those arrested, 2,093 were deported under government procedures, while 31 were sent to jail and five were transferred to holding centres.
Lahore CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana has instructed divisional police officers to personally oversee the repatriation process and ensure implementation of government directives.
