Police in Chunian registered a first information report yesterday following the horrific gang-rape of a sixteen-year-old girl. Subsequently, the authorities launched a massive manhunt after the victim’s father formally nominated three suspects in the criminal complaint. The police identified the accused individuals as Nadeem, Faisal, and a female accomplice named Nayla Faisal. Meanwhile, the shocking incident has sparked intense outrage throughout the Zaheerabad residential neighborhood.
According to the victim’s mother, Nayla Faisal phoned the young girl and intentionally invited her to a local residence. However, the situation turned highly dangerous when Nadeem and Faisal intercepted the teenager. The men then forcibly moved her to an unknown location and committed the assault. Eventually, incriminating closed-circuit television footage surfaced showing the suspects fleeing the scene. They callously abandoned the victim at a nearby private hospital in critical condition.
A preliminary medical examination has already confirmed that Nadeem assaulted the young girl. Consequently, city police registered case number 655/26 and initiated a rigorous forensic investigation to gather physical evidence. The distraught mother of the teenager made an emotional public appeal to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Furthermore, she requested immediate intervention from the Inspector General of Punjab Police to ensure swift justice.
Detectives are currently analyzing the available digital evidence to track the movements of the suspects. In addition, security teams are conducting targeted raids across the region to apprehend the fugitives. Local community leaders demand fast-track legal proceedings to protect vulnerable youth from such heinous crimes. Therefore, the department treats this high-profile case with maximum priority to reassure the frightened public.
