Security forces killed 10 terrorists in separate operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between September 15 and 17.
Six soldiers were also martyred when an improvised explosive device struck a security forces convoy on September 17.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation was conducted in North Waziristan after reports of terrorist activity.
Security forces targeted a suspected hideout during the operation.
Six terrorists were killed in an intense exchange of fire, the ISPR said.
The military identified the killed militants as members of what it calls Fitna al-Khawarij, a state designation for the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
In a separate operation in Hangu, security forces killed four more terrorists.
The ISPR said weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants.
It added that the killed terrorists were involved in several terrorist activities in the area.
Six Soldiers Martyred in IED Attack
On September 17, an IED targeted a security forces convoy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Six soldiers were martyred in the blast, according to the ISPR.
Security forces launched follow-up operations after the attack.
Three Terrorists Killed in Balochistan
Separately, security forces killed three terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Badrang, Awaran district, Balochistan.
Security sources said a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants.
The militants were identified by state authorities as members of Fitna al-Hindustan, a term used for terrorist organisations operating in Balochistan.
The latest operations come amid continued security operations against militant groups in Pakistan’s western regions.
