At least 10 militants were killed during separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Surab and Mastung districts, the military said Wednesday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations said security forces conducted the operations after receiving intelligence about militant activity in the two districts.
During an operation in Surab, security forces killed seven militants following an intense exchange of fire.
Meanwhile, troops conducted another operation in Mastung and killed three additional militants.
Security forces also arrested two female suicide bombers and a facilitator during the Mastung operation.
According to the ISPR, the arrested suspects were affiliated with the India-backed Fitna Al Hindustan militant group.
Weapons and explosives recovered
Security forces recovered a cache of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices during the operations.
The military said the operations targeted militant networks operating in Balochistan.
Furthermore, security forces remain focused on dismantling terrorist infrastructure and preventing militants from carrying out attacks.
The ISPR said the latest operations formed part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism from the province.
