PPP leaders, including Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, recently convened a meeting in Islamabad to finalize the members of the provincial cabinet.
During the meeting, the newly elected Sindh CM consulted with President Asif Ali Zardari to conclude the selection process for the cabinet members. Approximately 10 individuals are expected to take oath in the initial phase of cabinet appointments, according to sources familiar with the matter.
Among the anticipated cabinet members are Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Sharjeel Inam Memon, Syed Sardar Shah, Ziaul Hassan Lanjar, Saeed Ghani, and others, as discussed in the meeting attended by PPP Women Wing President Faryal Talpur.
It’s worth noting that although Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah was sworn in on February 27, the announcement of his cabinet is still pending. In contrast, the provincial cabinets of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have already been inaugurated.
In a separate event earlier in the day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s 19-member federal cabinet took oath at the President’s House in Islamabad. President Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath to the newly appointed ministers, including Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Tanvir, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Chaudhry Salik, Aleem Khan, Jam Kamal, Ameer Maqam, Owais Laghari, Atta Tarar, Khalid Maqbool Siddique, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, Riaz Pirzada, Ishaq Dar, Mussadiq Malik, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Ahad Cheema, and Mohsin Naqvi.
