A school van carrying children plunged off a road in Murree and caught fire on Tuesday, injuring the driver and 10 students.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, the driver lost control of the Suzuki Bolan near Misyari Lower Mohra Barahotar. The vehicle then fell off the road before catching fire.
Rescue teams quickly reached the scene and provided first aid to the injured children. Afterwards, rescuers shifted them to Civil Hospital Murree for further medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the Rescue 1122 firefighting team brought the blaze under control. Local sources said most of the children sustained minor injuries during the accident.
The incident caused concern among residents as emergency teams worked to evacuate the children safely. Authorities also began monitoring the students’ condition at the hospital.
Officials Monitor Injured Children
Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner officials also reached Civil Hospital Murree after the accident. They supervised the children’s treatment and reviewed the medical arrangements.
The authorities remained at the hospital while doctors treated the injured students. Officials are expected to assess the circumstances surrounding the road accident and determine how the van lost control.
