ISLAMABAD: Speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court, PTI leader Zartaj Gul blamed the PML-N-led government for the country’s worsening situation, accusing it of targeting journalists, lawyers, and political workers.
“The government treats political workers as terrorists,” she stated, condemning the authorities’ actions against dissenting voices.
Gul also alleged that the 26th Constitutional Amendment had divided the judiciary, further deepening the crisis. Expressing solidarity with protesting lawyers, she declared, “I respect the black coat and commend the legal fraternity for standing up for justice.”
She added that under the current government, nothing is safe, and called the lawyers’ protest a step toward restoring the dignity of the judiciary.
