Popular Twitch and YouTube personality Duke Dennis was arrested on Saturday night at the Shops at Rivercenter mall in San Antonio, Texas, during a game of hide-and-seek that took place after hours.
The 31-year-old content creator, whose real name is Denzel Dennis, is a prominent member of the online collective AMP (Any Means Possible), which also includes well-known streamers like Kai Cenat.
According to a statement from the San Antonio Police Department, officers responded to reports of individuals causing a disturbance inside the closed mall. Security guards at the location had asked the group, which included Dennis, to leave the premises. However, Dennis allegedly refused to comply with those instructions.
Police stated that when an officer approached and asked Dennis to exit the property, he verbally and physically resisted. The officer then informed Dennis that he was under arrest for criminal trespassing.
Upon hearing this, Dennis reportedly attempted to flee the scene. Despite his efforts to evade capture, both mall security and responding officers were able to detain and arrest him. He now faces charges of criminal trespassing on private property and evading arrest.
The situation escalated when another individual, who has not been identified publicly, allegedly interfered with the arrest by pushing a police officer. That person was also arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including three counts of assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest, and interfering with law enforcement duties.
Footage circulating on social media shows what appears to be Duke Dennis being apprehended by officers at the Rivercenter mall. Fellow AMP member Kai Cenat can be seen nearby, seemingly filming the incident from an upper level of the mall.
Dennis has not issued a direct public statement about the arrest, but on Sunday, he posted a story to Instagram suggesting a break from social media, writing, “Officially on vacation, need suggestions on where to go… See y’all later.”
AMP is widely known for its viral challenge-based content and live streams, often featuring elaborate stunts and collaborations with major internet personalities such as MrBeast, T-Pain, and Druski. In July, the group hosted a streaming marathon called “AMP Summer,” where they broadcasted daily activities for 12 hours a day.
It remains unclear whether the hide-and-seek game inside the mall was part of a planned AMP video or simply a spontaneous act. Either way, the incident has drawn considerable attention online, prompting questions about the legal risks of filming social media stunts in unauthorized locations.
