Pre-sale prices for the SU7 start at 229,900 yuan ($32,892), slightly higher than the first-generation model launched in March 2024. Despite the price increase, it remains more affordable than Tesla’s Model 3.

Since its initial launch, SU7 sales have exceeded 360,000 units, averaging 17,000 vehicles per month. Xiaomi has set an ambitious EV sales goal of 550,000 units in 2026, following 410,000 units sold in 2025 across models including the SU7 and YU7 SUV.

In addition, a livestream event showcasing the YU7 SUV’s build quality sparked controversy after viewers questioned certain claims. Xiaomi’s new communications head, Xu Jieyun, later issued a public apology for the misstep.
