The Clock Towers Center in Makkah has officially unveiled the world’s largest barbershop, designed to provide Hajj and Umrah pilgrims with a quick, efficient, and high-quality grooming experience. The new facility is built to international standards and is part of a broader initiative to improve services in the area surrounding the Grand Mosque.
With 170 chairs, the barbershop is capable of serving over 15,000 pilgrims daily during its initial phase, with each grooming service taking just three minutes. This remarkable efficiency underscores the facility’s commitment to exceptional service standards.
The development is also part of a larger vision to prepare Makkah for future demands, seamlessly integrating with major nearby projects such as the Masar project, Jabal Omar, and Thakher Makkah.
Additionally, authorities in Makkah launched a complimentary luggage storage service for Umrah pilgrims in December, further enhancing the pilgrimage experience. However, last year, the Saudi government announced that Hajj pilgrims from Pakistan would now be required to pay for Aab-e-Zam Zam when bringing it back to their country.
