Government schools in Chaman have officially begun their annual examinations for junior classes, marking the start of an important academic phase ahead of the region’s long winter holidays. According to the Education Department, exams for students from Grade 1 to Grade 7 commenced on November 16 and will continue until November 24 across all government schools in the district.
School administrations and teachers have been instructed to ensure that the examinations proceed smoothly and on schedule. These assessments form a crucial part of the academic evaluation process before schools close for the winter season.
Meanwhile, the Education Department confirmed that Class 8 examinations will begin on November 24. These exams will be conducted under the regulation of the Balochistan Board, which oversees middle school assessments throughout the province.
Winter Break to Begin December 16
Government schools in Balochistan’s colder regions, including Chaman, will begin their annual winter break on December 16. The two-and-a-half-month vacation aligns with the province’s yearly academic schedule designed to safeguard students from the harsh winter climate.
Officials stated that schools will reopen once temperatures improve, ensuring a comfortable and safe learning environment for students. The exact reopening date will be announced after the Education Department reviews weather conditions across the region.
The winter holiday period provides relief to students and staff while allowing schools time for maintenance and administrative planning ahead of the new academic term.
