The Jaecoo J7 PHEV is about to face a major price jump as its introductory offer ends. The current pricing was introduced for a limited time. However, the offer will conclude at the end of this month. Many buyers rushed to secure the SUV early. Yet, several customers may now face a higher cost after the offer expires.
New Pricing Starts December 1
The upcoming price increase will take effect on December 1. The new price will rise by Rs. 500,000. Therefore, the updated cost of the Jaecoo J7 PHEV will reach Rs. 10,499,000. The earlier introductory price stood at Rs. 9,999,000. This change was expected since the company had clearly labeled the launch price as temporary.
A Locally Assembled Hybrid SUV
The Jaecoo J7 PHEV entered Pakistan as a locally assembled mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV. It comes in two versions: Comfort and Premium. Both variants use the same hybrid powertrain. However, they differ in safety features and interior equipment.
Performance and Powertrain Details
The SUV carries a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. It produces 342 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque. These figures place the J7 PHEV among the stronger options in its segment. It also includes an 18.3 kWh battery. The battery offers up to 90 kilometers of electric range under the WLTP standard.
The model uses a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission for smoother energy management. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds. Moreover, it provides a combined fuel average of around 16.6 km per liter, which appeals to buyers seeking efficiency.
Warranty Package for Peace of Mind
The warranty package adds strong value for customers. The SUV includes a 6-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty. Additionally, the battery comes with an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty. These warranties help build confidence among buyers who are new to plug-in hybrid vehicles.
Why the Price Increase Matters
The change in price may influence purchase decisions in the coming weeks. Many buyers prefer to secure a vehicle before a known price hike. Therefore, the market may see a surge in bookings before the current offer ends. However, the new price may still appear competitive to some buyers due to the SUVโs power, range, and warranty benefits.
The Jaecoo J7 PHEV remains a notable option in the local hybrid SUV market. Its price increase was expected. Yet, the timing still encourages buyers to act quickly. Although the cost will rise from December 1, the SUV continues to deliver strong value through performance, range, and warranty support.
