ISLAMABAD: On Thursday, the White House issued a clarification regarding the statement made by the US President, mentioning that Joe Biden was referring to “media reports” when he talked about having seen pictures of “terrorists beheading children” in Israel. This claim, which has not been verified, had raised questions, and the clarification sought to clarify the context of the statement.

While the murder allegation had circulated in the media earlier in the week, Israeli authorities never officially confirmed it.
According to the reports, during a meeting with Jewish leaders on Wednesday, President Biden vividly described the ongoing conflict, stating, “I never really thought that I would see and have confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children.”
However, two senior administration officials clarified that Biden was referencing reports from Israel regarding beheaded children and cited various media reports on the topic. NBC News pointed out that it had not independently verified these reports.
The allegation of “beheaded” infants, which has been used to denounce Hamas’ armed offensive against Israel, initially emerged on Tuesday when the official Israeli government account on X shared a video from i24NEWS reporter Nicole Zedek, who reported “40 babies murdered” while discussing the devastation at the Kfar Aza kibbutz.
Subsequently, several websites, including CBS and the Times of India, ran stories alleging the beheadings of over three dozen babies. However, an Israeli army spokesperson, as quoted by the Anadolu Agency, stated that there was no confirmation of this claim.
