When Life Gives You Tangerines has made history as the highest-rated Korean drama on IMDb, surpassing major hits like Squid Game and The Glory, starring Song Hye Kyo. The drama has gained significant momentum, with its IMDb rating rising steadily from 8.7 to an impressive 9.3 following its finale.
The series has become a global sensation, with twelve of its episodes earning ratings of 9 or higher. This has allowed it to surpass other renowned titles, including Kingdom Season 2 (8.2), Move to Heaven (8.5), The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call (8.4), Squid Game Season 1 (8.0), and The Glory Season 2 (8.1).
Last week, When Life Gives You Tangerines reached the top spot on Netflix’s global non-English chart, having previously held positions at No. 3 and No. 4.
The series wrapped up its 16-episode run on March 28, and according to IGAWorks Mobile Index, Netflix Korea had 14.09 million active viewers in March 2024, with 4.05 million daily active users on March 29 alone, the day after the finale.
