QUETTA: After the flash floods brought on by the heavy rains, Balochistan has seen a rise in water-borne diseases, and the government set up medical camps to treat patients in the flood-affected areas.
ย water-borne diseases like diarrhea, dengue, malaria, and typhoid have been on the rise in Balochistan since the flash floods brought on by the heavy rains.
The province’s flood-affected areas have seen an additional 2,434 malaria cases, according to the Balochistan Health Department. The acute respiratory illness affected 1,723 patients at the same time.

Additionally, the health department reported 174 cases of eye diseases, 534 cases of diarrhea, and 723 cases of various skin ailments. In the flood-affected areas, there have also been reports of about 470 cholera cases.
In addition, nine cases of jaundice and 18 cases of typhoid were documented in the flood-affected districts. The health service noted that a total of 6,877 cases were reported in the impacted regions.
