Police in Jacobabad have arrested three men accused of the gang rape of a local TikToker, identified as Sara Baloch, according to media reports.
Authorities said the suspects โ Akmal Dagho, Paidal Jhakarani and Molabakhsh Jhakarani โ allegedly lured the woman to a residence on the pretext of filming TikTok content. Investigators claim the accused then sexually assaulted her at the location.
Allegations of blackmail surface
Police said the suspects are also accused of recording a video of the alleged assault and threatening to release it if the victim reported the crime. The claims have triggered outrage on social media and renewed concerns about the safety of online content creators.
Following the incident, the victim reportedly released a video statement describing the alleged assault and warning she would take her own life if authorities failed to act. The footage circulated widely, prompting calls for swift legal action.
Police launch investigation
After the video surfaced, Sara Baloch approached local police, leading to the arrests. Officials confirmed that a case has been registered and a formal investigation is under way.
Law enforcement authorities said they are taking steps to ensure the safety and protection of the complainant as the case proceeds. Meanwhile, officials urged the public to avoid spreading unverified content related to the incident, emphasising the importance of respecting the victimโs privacy.
