Information Minister Announces New Role for Renowned Broadcaster
Veteran voice Ishrat Fatima retired from Radio Pakistan yesterday and today she joined PTV as a mentor to new comers. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar made this announcement today during an event at the residence of Ishrat Fatima. she started a new chapter of her life with PTV now.
Ishrat Fatima recently ended her 45-year association with Radio Pakistan. Her retirement was widely noted across media circles. Many journalists and listeners described her voice as one of the most recognizable in the country. Soon after her retirement, the government moved quickly to retain her services for national media development.
The information minister said he personally requested Ishrat Fatima to join PTV. He added that her experience and professionalism would greatly benefit young broadcasters. According to him, PTV needs strong mentors to guide the next generation of news presenters. He stressed that her return will help strengthen the institution.
