Several American warplanes crashed in Kuwait on Monday morning, but all crew members survived, Kuwaitโs Ministry of Defence said, as Iran pressed ahead with a third consecutive day of strikes across the Gulf region.
A ministry spokesman confirmed in a statement that multiple US aircraft went down earlier in the day. However, he did not disclose the number of planes involved or the exact location of the crash sites. โAuthorities immediately initiated search and rescue operations, evacuated the crews, and transported them to a hospital for medical evaluation and treatment,โ the statement said. Officials added that all personnel remain in stable condition, while investigators examine the cause of the incident. Click on the link below to watch F-15 live crash.
Iranian media claims F-15 downed
Meanwhile, Iranโs state television reported that Iranian air defence units shot down a US F-15 jet in Kuwait. A correspondent for TRT World in Tehran cited the Iranian broadcast, which claimed responsibility for downing the aircraft.
The US military has not yet issued an official statement confirming the cause of the crash or responding to Tehranโs claims. Therefore, conflicting accounts continue to circulate as tensions escalate across the region.
Social media footage fuels speculation
Earlier, widely circulated social media videos appeared to show a US F-15 warplane descending rapidly before crashing. The footage also showed what appeared to be a pilot ejecting from the aircraft and parachuting to safety. In addition, images purportedly depicted the pilot being transported in a civilian vehicle.
The US fighter jets crash indicate the intensify of a growing war between the United States and Iran.
