Visa Procedures
The United States Embassy has launched a new online visa appointment system for Pakistani applicants, effective from February 8, 2025. This updated system aims to enhance efficiency and streamline the visa application process.
Alongside its introduction, the embassy has provided essential guidelines to ensure a smooth transition for all applicants.
According to a statement from the US Consulate General in Karachi, individuals seeking a US visa must create a profile in the newly implemented system before scheduling their appointment. This step is mandatory for all applicants, including those who have already initiated the visa process under the previous system.
The consulate has advised that individuals who have previously paid their visa fees or scheduled an appointment should register with the same email ID they used earlier. This will allow their details to be transferred seamlessly into the updated system without any disruptions.
For applicants who made their visa fee payment before February 3, 2025, specific steps must be followed to ensure their information is correctly recorded in the new system.
They are required to input their payment date and receipt number when setting up their new profile. This measure is designed to maintain continuity and prevent any confusion or inconvenience during the transition period.
In an effort to assist applicants with any queries or challenges they might face during the switch to the new system, the US Embassy has assured that support will be available.
Applicants can reach out to embassy officials via email or phone for guidance and clarification regarding the updated procedures.
This new online system reflects an ongoing effort by the US to modernize and simplify visa processing for Pakistani citizens.
By implementing a more structured and user-friendly platform, the embassy aims to improve accessibility and reduce potential delays for visa applicants.
