The United States has clarified that it has no link to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests outside the White House in Washington, D.C. In a statement, the US National Security Council spokesman, John Kirby, emphasized that the PTI protests and the situation surrounding PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s removal are domestic issues for the Pakistani people. He dismissed any suggestion of American involvement or action in this matter.

Regarding the question of Pakistan supplying weapons to Ukraine, Kirby stated that Pakistan should speak for its actions in this regard. Furthermore, he also noted that over 50 countries are providing various forms of support, including weapons, to Ukraine, and the US respects the decisions of these countries. Additionally, some nations may prefer not to publicize their support for Ukraine.
This clarification follows a foreign media report that claimed Pakistan was secretly selling weapons to Ukraine as part of a deal related to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) bailout package.
In response, the Foreign Office of Pakistan had previously rejected this report as “baseless and fabricated.” They emphasized that Pakistan maintains a policy of strict neutrality in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and does not provide arms and ammunition to either side. Moreover, the IMF Standby Arrangement for Pakistan was negotiated to implement essential economic reforms, and any other interpretation of these negotiations was deemed disingenuous.
