Actor and producer Urwa Hocane has publicly praised her sister, Mawra Hocane, asserting that few performers can rival Mawra’s ability to deliver emotionally intense scenes, particularly those involving tears.
During a recent talk show appearance, Urwa highlighted Mawra’s on-screen depth. Moreover, she issued a lighthearted challenge to fans and fellow actors, inviting them to recreate Mawra’s crying scenes if they believed they could match her skill. Her remarks blended humor with clear admiration, drawing attention to Mawra’s widely recognized talent.
In response to a question about her acting process, Mawra explained that she relies on emotional authenticity rather than a fixed technique. She said she immerses herself completely in her character’s circumstances. As a result, she experiences the emotions as if they were real, which allows her to express tears naturally. Consequently, audiences find her performances relatable and genuine.
Over the years, Mawra has strengthened her reputation through notable television projects such as “Sabaat” and “Qissa Meherbano Ka.” These roles, in particular, have showcased her ability to portray complex emotions convincingly.
Meanwhile, the exchange also reflected the strong personal and professional bond between the two sisters. Although both operate in the same industry and often face comparisons, they consistently support each other’s careers.
In addition to acting, Urwa and Mawra have collaborated as entrepreneurs. They co-founded the fashion label UXM, which features denim, jewelry, and seasonal collections. However, despite their business partnership, they have deliberately pursued separate acting paths, choosing roles that emphasize their individual strengths rather than appearing together on screen.
