Beyoncé music
Unreleased Beyoncé music _ tracks and sensitive show materials belonging to global superstar Beyoncé were stolen from a vehicle in Atlanta, just days before her scheduled performances in the city as part of the Cowboy Carter stadium tour, police confirmed.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, the theft occurred on July 8, two days before Beyoncé’s first show in Atlanta. The stolen items were inside a rented black Jeep Wagoneer, used by Beyoncé’s choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue. The vehicle was parked near a local food hall when its rear window was smashed, and two suitcases were taken.
A police incident report revealed the missing items included five jump drives containing:
- Watermarked and unreleased music
- Choreography and stage plans
- Setlists for past and upcoming shows
- Other confidential production materials
Additional stolen items included a laptop, designer clothes, and Apple AirPods. Investigators recovered two faint fingerprints from the vehicle and are tracking some of the stolen electronics through built-in software. While an arrest warrant has been issued, the suspect’s identity has not yet been disclosed, and authorities have not confirmed if the unreleased music has been recovered.
Beyoncé’s music and the team’s response
Beyoncé’s team has not released a public statement on the incident.
The theft has raised security concerns within the music industry, especially given the value and sensitivity of the stolen material. Christopher Grant, a high-profile choreographer who has worked with artists like Shakira, and Diandre Blue, who appeared with Beyoncé in a 2024 Super Bowl ad, were directly impacted.
Despite the setback, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour continued without disruption. Her third Atlanta show featured a surprise appearance by Jay-Z, underlining the city’s importance on her tour circuit. Her final performance in Atlanta was scheduled for Monday night.
