The murders occurred over a property dispute, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, including two brothers, in Iqbal Town, Gujranwala.
According to police reports, armed assailants entered the victims’ homes while they were asleep and opened fire, leading to their deaths. The victims were identified as two biological brothers and two cousins. Among the attackers were the brother and nephew of one of the victims.
After the shooting, the assailants fled the scene, firing shots into the air. A heavy police presence quickly arrived, securing the area and transporting the bodies to the hospital for autopsy.
The Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Gujranwala has taken notice of the incident and requested a detailed report from the Chief Police Officer (CPO), Rana Ayaz Saleem. The RPO has also directed the Superintendent of Police (SP) for Civil Lines to ensure the immediate arrest of the suspects.
Police reports indicate that there was an ongoing property dispute and prior enmity between the suspects and the victims. Evidence has been collected from the scene, and a thorough investigation is underway.
