The United Arab Emirates has firmly stated it will not allow attacks on Iran from its territory, airspace, or waters.
The UAE foreign ministry said the country rejects any involvement in hostile military actions. It also ruled out providing logistical support for such operations.
UAE Emphasises Neutrality and Sovereignty
According to the statement, the UAE remains committed to respecting state sovereignty. It stressed that regional stability requires restraint rather than escalation.
Moreover, officials said dialogue and diplomacy remain the only sustainable solutions. De-escalation, they added, must guide regional responses during crises.
Position Comes Amid Rising US-Iran Tensions
The statement followed heightened tensions between Iran and the United States. Recently, Washington announced increased naval deployments toward the Gulf.
These developments raised concerns across the region. As a result, the UAE moved to clarify its position publicly.
UAE Rejects Use of Territory for Hostile Acts
The foreign ministry reaffirmed that UAE territory, waters, and airspace will not be used for military operations against Iran.
It also confirmed that no logistical assistance would be provided. This includes support linked to planning or execution of attacks.
Meanwhile, the UAE continues to host foreign military forces under existing defence agreements. However, officials stressed that these arrangements do not alter national policy.
Call for International Law and De-Escalation
The UAE urged all parties to respect international law. It said sovereignty must remain central to resolving disputes.
Furthermore, officials highlighted the risks of miscalculation. Military escalation, they warned, could destabilise the wider region.
Iran Warns Against Any Military Action
Iran has repeatedly warned that any attack would be treated as a full-scale conflict. Officials have said responses would be swift and severe.
These statements came as foreign naval movements increased across the Middle East. Military readiness levels in Iran have reportedly been raised.
UAE Seeks Stability Over Confrontation
Despite rising tensions, the UAE continues to advocate calm engagement. Officials said regional peace depends on communication, not confrontation.
They added that avoiding escalation protects both regional security and global economic stability.
By clearly outlining its stance, the UAE aims to prevent misunderstandings. The message signals neutrality while reinforcing its commitment to peaceful conflict resolution.
