The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Embassy has issued updated guidelines for visa applications, outlining the requirements and procedures for various visa categories.
The new instructions apply to visit, tourist, and family visas, all of which must be applied for online. Employment visas, however, follow a different process. Once an application is submitted, the applicant will receive a summons notification and must carry proof of the application documents.
Visa Processing Fee & Payment Details
According to an embassy spokesperson, the visa processing fee is set at $69 per applicant. This amount must be deposited in a designated bank account, and the original receipt must be presented when visiting the embassy or visa center.
Required Documents for Visa Application
Applicants need to provide the following documents for visa processing:
- A certified six-month bank statement (belonging to the applicant, parents, or sponsor) with a minimum balance of $5,000 or its equivalent.
- Proof of accommodation, such as a hotel reservation, property ownership document, or an invitation from a host in the UAE.
- A confirmed return air ticket.
- An original national identity card or passport, valid for at least six months.
Visa Application Guidelines for Minors
The UAE Embassy has also provided specific instructions for visa applications for children:
- Children under 5 years old do not need to visit the visa center; only a photograph must be submitted.
- Children aged 6 to 15 years must visit the visa center for a photograph.
- Children 15 years and older must be physically present at the visa center and complete the full application process, including biometric verification, similar to adult applicants.
Biometric Verification & Visa Processing
Applicants aged 5 years and above must undergo biometric data collection at the UAE visa center. After submitting their application, they will receive a summons notification.
The UAE Embassy has urged all applicants to carefully follow the updated guidelines to ensure a smooth and efficient visa processing experience.
